for HIGH SCHOOL SINGERS

New Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing
Doris Lenz was a dedicated NJNATS voice teacher, who took special pride and pleasure in teaching high school singers. In her memory, this scholarship was established to support serious high school students of singing who participate in summer vocal music programs.
Scholarships of $300 are available……SUMMER 2012
Eligibility – Applicants must be completing grades 9 through 12 in Spring 2012, and studying voice privately with a teacher who is a New Jersey NATS member.

Your name and address

Resume or a list of your singing activities to date

The specific summer program(s) (names and addresses) you will be attending during Summer 2012 (Scholarship money will be mailed directly to the summer program)

Short essay (one or two paragraphs) telling us your goals as a singer, and the reason you are requesting an NJNATS scholarship

Short letter of recommendation from your NJNATS teacher
Deadline – May 1, 2012 – Scholarship winner(s) will be notified by June 1, 2012
